Okay the wait is not quite over but we got an email today with the great news that we will be traveling the week of May 4th to get Greyson in Ethiopia!!!! Yippee!!!! It is all so surreal. The fact that there will be a little boy in our house or a new little person at all is so crazy and so exciting all at the same time.
My mind keeps racing back and forth from one thought to the next:
"How do I get three kids in the car"
"What do I do with a BOY???"
"What if he doesn't like me?"
"What if the girls freak out and don't like him"
" What if he gets sick when he gets home or a big worm comes out his nose"
"what if this blissful happy feeling I have just gets even better once I see him and hold him"
That is only the tip of the iceberg on all of my crazy thoughts. I am trying to figure out what to say to his mom when I meet her. What do you say to someone who gave up their baby because she literally had no means to take care of him. Do you say thank you? Do you say I will do my best to raise your son? Words seem so small in how BIG that whole conversation will be and how much I want to just say what a blessing it is that she has entrusted me with this beautiful little boy.
I need to let God take care of the what ifs and the fears and everything will be what He wants it to be.
Did I say how excited i was????

No... How excited are you??? I want to hear again!!! We're sooo happy that you finally have a date and tickets... the details will work themselves out and God is on top of it all! You're amazing and this journey you and Steve chose to embark on fits you guys perfectly! I love praying for your little guy and having a face (and LOTS of pics) to put with those prayers. TOTALLY COOL! KEEP POSTING (even if you don't think you have any new news. I just love reading about what is going through that head of yours:)
He is too cute for words! I can't even begin to fathom the excitement that must be brewing in your heart and around your house as the time draws near to go and claim this wonderful prize God has awarded you with as His good and faithful followers! We continue to pray for you guys as you embark upon this new journey, both physical and spiritual!

I've added you to the blogroll. I'd love for you to check out the site!
My wife and I are waiting for a referral for a baby girl.
You'll find the right words and the answers to your questions because you all are trusting the Lord to guide you through this whole thing. HE won't take you anywhere HE will not sustain you.
Now stop worrying and get our little main back here.
Love you,
Dad
This is my first time here and I see that you are travelling this week to get your baby boy! How exciting! I will pray for travel mercies for your family.

Anxiously awaiting the news of your safe arrival. You have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly!!!! Hope you can post news soon... i love you and miss you and am coveting you guys with prayers!!!!!!!
Holly from Northeast Christian Church shared your blog with me. My husband Robby and I are in the process of adopting our son from Guatemala. We will be keeping your family in our prayers this week!
Hurray! I LOVE that picture, the little tongue sticking out. Pricelss.
Boys are so great. Having come from a family with 5 sisters and only 1 brother I thought I would be lost when our little guy came... but a little boy steals your heart in a special way.
Happy travels!
