Our family is made up of me (Heather) and my super wonderful husband (Steve) plus our two girls Maddie and Lilly. We wrote this blog to tell the story about our journey to get Greyson Yabsira Wehrheim, the newest addition to our family from Ethiopia. We wanted friends and family to share in all the excitement and watch how God continues to move in our family in the upcoming months and years.

Life is Hard but God is Good
- We started this blog to share in the amazing journey of our adoption. We began this journey two years ago when we felt an ever present tug on our hearts from God for orphan children in Africa. We knew that God had something big planned for us but were not sure quite what he had in store. We look back over the past couple of years and see His hand in everything that has happened to our family and know that the choice to adopt a child from Ethiopia was something He wanted. Life is hard for the millions of orphans in Africa but God has been so good to our family and we hope to share a little bit of that love with our new son.

This is an amazing video by some great folks in North Carolina that have recently adopted siblings in Ethiopia.
We used this video at a shower that was thrown for us at maddie's preschool for the orphanage. We have also been lucky enough to have our church collecting items for Horizon House.
It has amazed me how you can feel so part of a community of people you have never met. That is how I have felt since I started some of the Ethiopian adoption groups on Yahoo. It is just a great kinship of waiting and waiting i guess!
